1. 🌊 Collecting Sargassum
Seaweed is gathered directly from the shores of Mexico, Florida, and the Caribbean islands, where it washes up in massive quantities. Using nets, beach rakes, and trucks, it is collected and transported.Â
Goal: The goal is twofold: to relieve ecosystems—since turtles and fish are harmed by these accumulations—and to restore beaches, making them enjoyable again for both tourists and locals.
2. đźšż Cleaning & Drying
The sargassum is carefully washed with fresh water to remove sand, salt, and impurities.
It is then sun-dried in large ventilated spaces.
Result: a clean biomass, ready for transformation.

3. ⚗️ Processing into Raw Material
The dried algae are ground into fine fibers.
They are blended with recycled polymers—such as plastic recovered from bottles collected on the beach—and bound together using an eco-friendly, water-based glue.
This patented blend creates an eco-friendly, durable foam.

4. 🥿 Sole Manufacturing
The foam is injected into patented moldsÂ
This produces flexible, lightweight, and resilient soles.
Each pair of Kelps = 6 lbs of collected sargassum + 3 recycled bottles.
5. 👡 Assembly & Design
The soles are paired with vegan leather straps (e.g., avocado-based).
Logos, colors, and packaging are added.
Each pair is then hand-checked to guarantee comfort and style.
6. 🌍 Responsible Distribution
Kelps are offered in surf shops, on cruise ships, and in eco-conscious boutiques.
